A federal judge appointed by George W. Bush is preventing the Department of Homeland Security, DHS, from gaining access to 17 million commercial driving licences, many of which are suspected of having been issued to illegal immigrants and used as ID when voting. Around 30 people have been killed after foreigners carried out hazardous manoeuvres in traffic with heavy goods vehicles.

Anthony Trenga is a federal judge appointed by George W. Bush. He imposed a so-called administrative stay, i.e. a postponement of the decision.

But justice officials in 21 Democrat-governed states have filed suit against the Department of Transportation to prevent the release of driving-licence data. Several states, including California and New York, have issued illegal immigrants with driving licences that can be used as ID when voting.

‘President Trump’s administration has made our roads safer by removing illegal immigrants and truck drivers who do not speak English from America’s highways. Now, through the “Freedom Haulers” initiative, the President is expanding opportunities for our veterans by making it easier for them to obtain commercial driving licences once they have completed their service,’ White House spokeswoman Anna Kelly previously told Fox News.

‘By leading a process involving several agencies, including the Departments of Transportation, Labor, Veterans Affairs and Defense, President Trump is strengthening America’s trucking industry, which is crucial to strong supply chains, while helping the nation’s heroes transition to civilian life through good, well-paid jobs,’ she said.

The employment of illegal immigrants has driven responsible companies out of business. Tens of thousands of drivers are involved. Many of them do not even understand English. Trump wants them off the roads both for road-safety reasons and because they are taking jobs from Americans.
